
Maggie Rosamond (owner) Maggie is the director of the Competitive Dance Company. Maggie’s dance experience includes over 20 years of dance training. After graduating High school she went on to pursue a Bachelors degree in Broadcast/Journalism and a minor in English at The University of Mississippi. While attending Ole Miss she was captain of the Dance Team and led the team to it’s first National ranking in school history. She has since then done choreography for College dance teams as well as choreography for various dancers in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Maggie was an instructor and choreographer for the Universal Dance Association for 5 years. She was also a NBA dancer for the Memphis Grizzlies Dance Team. In 2005 Maggie extended her dance training at L.A.’s dance studio, Edge Performing Arts Center. In the first year of having a Competitive Dance Company at Studio 413, Maggie has taken her students to competitions earning over 20 Platinum rankings and 10 Top Score 1st place finishes. Maggie is married to her wonderful husband, Michael and they have a daughter, Preslie. Maggie teaches Jazz/Technique, Preschool program, Lyrical and the Company dancers.

Kim McCarter (owner) danced for the University of Memphis where the Pom Pom squad won consecutive National championships. At U of M Kim earned a Masters degree in Science and is now a registered Dietician. She worked for NDA as an instructor for 2 years then continued to work for UDA for 7 years as a head instructor and choreographer for summer camps and international events. Kim has also done choreography for college dance teams in Illinois and Kentucky. She has performed at various NBA games for the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls. Kim also danced in Monday night Football commercials with Hank Williams Jr. and the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon in L.A. She has judged many prestigious National Championships. Kim was the coach and choreographer for the Collierville High School Dance Team for 13 years. She lead the team to a National Championship and they placed among the top 10, 8 years in a row. Kim has twins, Addyson and Maddoc and is married to her wonderful husband, Lane McCarter. Kim teaches Jazz/Technique, Hip Hop and Company dancers.

Rafael Ferreras Jr. Rafael is originally from the Dominican Republic, then Bronx, New York. He has returned to Memphis and is a dancer in the company at Ballet Memphis. Ferreras trained in his hometown of New York with Dance Theatre of Harlem and the Joffrey Ballet. He has danced with Tulsa Ballet, Hartford Ballet, New Jersey Ballet, Elisa Monte Dance and the Metropolitan Opera Ballet. Memphis audiences remember him for his smoldering performances in Trey McIntryre’s Memphis, Touched and High Lonesome. In Ballet Memphis’ 2001-2002 season, Rafael danced the title roles in Dracula and The Nutcracker, as well as Cavalier in The Nutcracker. That season he also performed in Lila York’s Strays and as a Sea Snake, Wave and Lead Sailor in The Little Mermaid.

Katrina Levine is originally from Vasalia, California. She was a student here at Studio 413 and has now joined our teaching staff. She began competitively dancing at the age of four. She has danced in various events, competitions, and conventions. Katrina has trained with numerous professional dancers and choreographers along with training at the EDGE in Hollywood, CA. Throughout her dance career, she has won numerous dance awards and dance scholarships at conventions such as Tremaine, L.A. Dance Force, Kids Dance LA, L.A. Underground, and Company Dance. After moving to Tennessee, Katrina danced for the nationally ranked Collierville High School Dance Team and placed 2nd in nation in 2006. After graduating from Collierville High School, she is now attending the University of Memphis where she is pursuing a degree in Communications and a minor in Dance. Katrina is currently the coach of the Southwind High School Dance Team and Schilling Farms Middle School Dance Team. Katrina teaches assists in Lyrical, Tap, Jazz/Technique and Hip Hop.

Lisa McCarroll began her training in North Carolina where she attended the North Carolina School of the Arts. She performed with the Charlotte Regional Ballet Company, under the direction of Gay Porter and Duncan Noble. She graduated from East Carolina University, earning a BFA in dance. While at ECU, she performed with the ECU theatre, organized and began the university first dance team and worked with Mavis Ray in several music videos and industrials. She has performed professionally in Las Vegas, California and North Carolina in several shows and industrials. She also performed with Maceo Anderson, original member of the “Cotton Club” at Show works in Las Vegas and toured with the Canadian band, “Curtola” as a dancer/choreographer. Lisa has taught dance in North Carolina, Virginia, Nevada and Tennessee. She live lives in Collierville with her Husband and two children. She is teaching Tap at Studio 413 and we are glad to have her join our staff.

Ashley Smith (Tap Instructor) is the Studio 413 Tap teacher. Ashley earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology at Christian Brothers University and she is currently working on her Masters degree in Psychology at the University of Memphis. Ashley’s dance training began at an early age. Some of her experience includes dancing for the Memphis Grizzlies (2001-2003) and the Memphis Redbirds(2000), scholarship winner at dance conventions, dancing in shows at Libertyland and in Tunica, performing in various industrials and being in a commercial for Fox Sports Net for the Grizzlies. Ashley’s other success’ include pageants. She was crowned Miss Memphis in 2001 and Miss Collierville in 2004. Ashley teaches Tap and Jazz/Technique.
