Camilla Curran, “Miss cami” as she’s known to Her students, is a Vaganova trained ballet dancer and teacher. She studied with her mother, Nora Curran, beginning at age 7 and continued through her graduation from the Allegro Ballet Academy having completed all eight levels of the Vaganova syllabus at age 18. She has attended numerous intensives and received private coaching from some of Russian ballet’s best dancers. Her performing repertoire includes all Nutcracker pas de deuxs, the White Swan pas de deux from Swan Lake Act I, various solos from Don Quixote, Coppelia, and Swan Lake, Mrs. Nora Curran’s original choreography as well as her own. She has performed for Roudnev Dance Company, Performance Art Network, the Allegro Youth Ballet, and most recently retired from dancing principal roles with Tennessee Ballet Theater.
She served for several years as the Director of Dance for a local ballet school and currently teaches ballet and creates choreography for Children’s Ballet Theater and also serves as a rehearsal coach and interim for Tennessee Ballet theater. Miss Curran is also a retired model and Modeling agent and enjoys working in all areas of the arts.
