Kim McCarter

Kim McCarterKim McCarter began her dance training at a young age and brings her vast experience in dance and pom choreography and instruction as owner of Studio 413. She attended the University of Memphis where she danced for the Pom Team, winning consecutive national championships. Kim earned a masters degree in science from the U of M and is a Registered Dietician. She was an instructor for National Dance Alliance (NDA) and Universal Dance Association (UDA) where she became lead instructor for the organization’s summer camps and international training, including teaching in Japan. In addition to judging numerous prestigious national dance and pom championships, Kim has choreographed for multiple college and high school dance teams throughout Illinois, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Tennessee. She is the current pom choreographer for Tulsa Union School District in Oklahoma and Warren County Schools in Tennessee and has earned six Oklahoma state titles and two back-to-back Tennessee state titles. As choreographer and coach for the Collierville, TN, High School pom team for 13 years, Kim led the team to nine state championships. She has performed at various NBA games for the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls and danced in Monday Night Football commercials with Hank Williams Jr. as well as with the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon in L.A. She continues to train at various regional and national workshops and studios, including L.A.’s EDGE Performing Arts Center and Broadway Dance Center in New York. Kim teaches Acro, Pre-school, Hip Hop and Company dancers.
