Owner Maggie Rosamond’s passion for dance began in her childhood, and she has transferred that passion into building one of the premier dance studios in the southeast United States. Maggie began her training with Janet Luciano and the Dance Syndicate in Memphis and continued training in various genres of dance for more than 20 years. After graduating from high school she went on to pursue a bachelors degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in English at The University of Mississippi. While attending Ole Miss she was captain of the dance team and led the team to its first national ranking in the university’s history. Maggie was an instructor and choreographer for the Universal Dance Association (UDA) for five years and an NBA dancer for the Memphis Grizzlies Dance Team. Maggie has taught dance for 22 years and, since forming the competitive dance company at Studio 413, has led her dancers to numerous first place awards and platinum-level rankings. She is a graduate of the Leadership Collierville class of 2011, and has received countless choreography and dance technique awards at national and regional competitions. In 2009 and 2011 Maggie received the “Educator Award” from Co. Dance, a national touring dance convention and competition featuring top choreographers and instructors. Maggie, along with the other Studio 413 faculty, continues to train and participate in advanced teacher workshops on both coasts, including at L.A.’s EDGE Performing Arts Center and Broadway Dance Center in New York. She has broadened her dance career to include extensive costume design and choreographed liturgical dances as part of church programs. Maggie teaches Jazz/Technique, Pre-School, Contemporary and is the Director of the Studio 413 Company.
